The GameSpy data center move will result in the outage of all GameSpy Tech services for a period of time. GameSpy expects to begin the switch over process during the normal maintenance window on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 22:00 (10:00PM) Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).

The outage is expected to last approximately Six (6) hours during which time all games on the GameSpy Service that have properly implemented the availability check will receive a “Service Temporarily Unavailable” response.

NOTE to Server Admins: Dedicated game servers utilizing GameSpy matchmaking will require a reboot in order to propagate the new DNS once the data center migration is complete. Should your dedicated game servers be managed by your game community, please be sure to notify them prior to Wednesday, August 25, 2010 22:00 (10:00PM) PDT. The reboot should occur after you have been notified Gamespy has completed the move.

Another "Service Unavailable" occurred a few days ago. I'm going to just leave the support ticket open in case it happens again.

I went ahead and puchased KF through Steam and also Borderlands. Not that I have a whole lot of time to play them and do them justice right now.

Over the last couple of days there have been periods of time where the hosting server displayed "Service Unavailable" when trying to reach the site. There have been no changes on my end, so it is their platform that is causing these issues.

The fireworks show we have about 250 feet from our apartment was the best yet. Every single explosion just rocking your chest.

Took a deeper look, inspection was okay, but then Good ol' Google Earth came through and showed me the neighbors backyards..... SURROUNDED BY JUNKYARDS. Both houses had tons of cars in their yards.

Found another place, more expensive, nicer, but smaller.

Got insurance already.

As for security systems, definitely going with the one offered by my investors for when I move into a house, to help protect their business investment. One room (likely the garage) will be dedicated to that and heavily secured, with the rest of the house getting just slightly lower-grade security (window sensors, door sensors, motion detectors, and possibly IR/low lux security cameras.
